About Whau Chinese New Year Festival
Chinese New Year is known as Spring Festival or Lunar New Year, which is the most important festival celebrated in China and other Asian Countries, The date for Chinese New Year falls on 16th of Feb 2018 and it is the year of Dog. Our Chinese New Year celebration consists of street food stalls, ethnical performances on the outdoor stage, outdoor kids’ activities and entertainment and indoor arts work display and interactive activities.
We have successfully held the Whau Chinese New Year in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, with thousands of people attending each year, and arising social and community awareness. Now we will make the Whau Chinese New Year 2019 more successful and vibrant, with a series of events with different venues to bring attendants wondering cultural experiences.
